Reading a game card
Goalies. Each starter comes from the G&W goalie tracker. Confirmed means the team has named its starter; Expected means he is expected to start but it is not official yet; Likely is the goalie we expect to start when nothing has been announced; Not confirmed means we have no starter yet. A goalie listed as injured or suspended is never shown as a starter. The time under each goalie is when his status last changed.
Market. The consensus moneyline, puck line and total across US sportsbooks, where each opened and where it is now. No-vig win % is the consensus moneyline with the bookmaker's margin taken out. The full board with every book is on the odds board.
Rest & travel. Days off since each team's last game, back-to-backs, games in the last seven days, and how far the team travelled from its last game, including any change of time zone.
Team form. 5-on-5 expected-goals share (xGF%), power-play expected goals per 60 minutes, penalty-kill expected goals allowed per 60, and goal difference per game, each with its rank among the 32 teams. Last 20 is free; early in the season you can switch to last season for a full-season view.
Lines. The forward lines and defence pairs each team used most at 5-on-5 in its most recent game, from the NHL's shift charts. Until a team has played this season, its lines come from last season's final game.
Injuries. Players listed out, on injured reserve, suspended or day-to-day, as reported by ESPN.
