Reading a matchup
Each game is split into its two real contests: one team's offense against the other's defense, and the reverse. Offense numbers are what that offense gained; defense numbers are what that defense allowed. The bar under each number is its percentile against the league, where 100 is the best for that unit (for a defense that means allowing the least). Style measures such as PROE and early-down pass rate are not good or bad: their bars show how pass-heavy a team is, with the league average alongside.
Team numbers only use games played before this week, so they never include the game you are looking at. The Market box shows the consensus spread, total and moneyline across US sportsbooks, where it opened and where it is now.
Analytics members also see Gridiron & Wine's projected score, spread and total for every game next to the market.
