The short version
We collect only what we need to run Gridiron & Wine: your email address, your account and subscription details, and basic technical data. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number. We do not sell your personal information. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click and ask us to delete your data at any time.
This policy explains how Jessica Gridiron LLC ("Gridiron & Wine", "we", "us") handles personal information when you use gridironandwine.com, our emails and our paid plans.
What we collect
- Email address, when you join the free newsletter or create an account.
- Account details: your email, a password (stored by our sign-in provider in hashed form; we cannot read it), your plan, billing status and renewal date.
- Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your plan, payment status and subscription dates, but never your full card number.
- AI Pro chat: the questions you send and the answers returned, plus a count of messages used, so the feature can work and daily limits can apply.
- Messages you send us, such as support emails, refund requests or cancellation feedback.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard request information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, and our email provider may report whether an email was delivered or opened.
How we use it
- To provide the Service: sign you in, unlock the features your plan includes, and send the emails you signed up for.
- To process payments, renewals, cancellations, refunds and the Losing Term Guarantee.
- To answer your questions and send important account notices.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent spam signups and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To understand what is working and improve the site.
Service providers we use
We share personal information only with companies that help us run the Service, and only what they need to do that job:
- Netlify: website hosting, account sign-in (Netlify Identity) and the server functions that power the site.
- Stripe: payment processing, subscriptions and the customer portal where you manage or cancel your plan.
- Resend: delivery of our emails.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: bot and spam protection on our signup forms.
- An AI service provider: generates answers for AI Pro chat. Only the content of your chat messages is sent.
Some pages also load team logos or charting libraries from third-party content networks, which receive standard request information such as your IP address. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
Cookies and local storage
- Sign-in: when you log in, our sign-in provider keeps your session in your browser’s local storage so you stay logged in.
- Preferences: we store small settings in your browser, for example that you dismissed the subscribe banner.
- Security: Cloudflare Turnstile may use cookies or similar technology to tell people from bots on signup forms.
- Checkout: Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout and customer portal pages it hosts.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time; if you do, you will need to log in again.
Emails and unsubscribing
We send emails you have asked for, such as the free newsletter, the Daily Analytics email and Official Plays, plus account and billing notices. Every marketing and picks email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Account and billing notices continue while you have an account, because they are needed to run it.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not share your email address with sportsbooks or advertisers.
- We do not see or store your full card number.
How long we keep it
We keep account and subscription records while your account is active and for as long as needed afterward for billing, tax, legal and fraud-prevention purposes. Newsletter-only addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your choices and data deletion
- Access or correct your information by emailing us.
- Delete your data: email info@gridironandwine.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done. Some records, such as payment history, may be kept where the law requires.
- Stop emails with the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Cancel a paid plan anytime from the Your Subscription panel on the Pricing page.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. Email us to make a request and we will respond as the law requires.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Age limit
The Service is only for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you by email.
