Add any number of legs and a per-parlay stake. The calculator computes every round robin size (2-team, 3-team, …) and shows total cost, max payout if all hit, and the partial-payout breakdown if some legs lose.
A round robin breaks a multi-leg slip into all combinations of smaller parlays. Pick 4 teams and run a round robin "by 2s" and you get 6 separate 2-team parlays (one for every pair). "By 3s" gives you 4 three-team parlays, and "by 4s" gives you the single full 4-team parlay.
The appeal: a round robin survives a leg losing. If one of your 4 picks loses but the other three win, a "by 3" round robin still pays one full 3-team parlay (the one without the losing leg). A flat 4-team parlay loses entirely.
Round robins multiply total stake. Four teams "by 2s" costs 6 × your per-parlay stake. The breakeven hit rate goes up accordingly. Since every parlay still carries compounded vig (typically 4–5% per leg), a round robin doesn't escape the parlay tax — it just spreads the risk.
Sharp bettors generally prefer straight bets when each leg has independent +EV. A round robin is most defensible when the legs are correlated and the book doesn't price the correlation correctly, or when partial-loss protection is worth the higher total stake. See our Parlay Calculator for single-parlay payout math.
Four picks at −110 run "by 2s" make 6 two-team parlays (6 pairs among 4 teams), so the total stake is 6 × $10 = $60.00. Each two-team parlay at −110 pays $36.45 on a $10 stake (decimal 1.9091 × 1.9091 × $10). What you get back depends on how many legs win:
| Result | Parlays that win | Total returned | Profit / loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 of 4 legs win | 6 of 6 | $218.68 | +$158.68 |
| 3 of 4 legs win | 3 of 6 | $109.34 | +$49.34 |
| 2 of 4 legs win | 1 of 6 | $36.45 | −$23.55 |
| 1 of 4 legs win | 0 of 6 | $0.00 | −$60.00 |
| 0 of 4 legs win | 0 of 6 | $0.00 | −$60.00 |
That is the appeal and the cost in one table: one lost leg still returns money, but the break-even point is higher because you staked on six parlays instead of one.
Legs: −110, +120, −105, +150, $10 per parlay. Max payout assumes every leg wins.
| Round robin | Parlays | Total stake | Max payout | Profit if all legs win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| By 2s | 6 | $60.00 | $273.76 | +$213.76 |
| By 3s | 4 | $40.00 | $387.56 | +$347.56 |
| By 4s | 1 | $10.00 | $205.00 | +$195.00 |
| All sizes (2s, 3s and 4s) | 11 | $110.00 | $866.32 | +$756.32 |
The calculator above produces exactly these rows for any odds you enter.
A round robin by k's on n legs contains n choose k parlays, n! ÷ (k! × (n − k)!). Total stake is that count times your stake per parlay.
| Legs | By 2s | By 3s | By 4s | By 5s | All sizes | Cost of all sizes at $10 each |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 3 | 1 | – | – | 4 | $40.00 |
| 4 | 6 | 4 | 1 | – | 11 | $110.00 |
| 5 | 10 | 10 | 5 | 1 | 26 | $260.00 |
| 6 | 15 | 20 | 15 | 6 | 57 | $570.00 |
| 7 | 21 | 35 | 35 | 21 | 120 | $1,200.00 |
| 8 | 28 | 56 | 70 | 56 | 247 | $2,470.00 |
This covers a 4-team, 5-team, 6-team, 7-team or 8-team round robin: find your leg count in the first column. A 6-team round robin by 2s is 15 parlays ($150 at $10 each); all sizes is 57 parlays ($570).
Many sportsbooks and betting guides use traditional names for "all sizes" round robins. Enter the same number of legs above and read the "By 2s", "By 3s" and larger rows to price each one.

| Lucky 31 | 5 | 5 singles + the Canadian's 26 | 31 |
| Heinz | 6 | 15 doubles + 20 trebles + 15 four-folds + 6 five-folds + 1 six-fold | 57 |

Every extra parlay carries the sportsbook's margin on each leg again, so a round robin does not remove the cost of parlays; it spreads the same bets over more outcomes. See the No-Vig Calculator to measure that margin.
A round robin turns a slip of several picks into every smaller parlay of a fixed size. Four picks "by 2s" make six two-team parlays; "by 3s" make four three-team parlays. You stake the same amount on each parlay, so a lost leg only knocks out the parlays that contain it.
By 2s it is 6 parlays, by 3s it is 4, by 4s it is 1. All sizes together (2s, 3s and 4s) is 11 bets, which a Yankee also includes. With $10 per parlay, by 2s costs $60.
Multiply the decimal odds of the legs in each parlay, multiply by your stake, then add the parlays that won. The calculator above does this for every size and shows the cost, max payout and profit if all legs hit.
A round robin pays less than one big parlay when everything hits and loses less when one leg misses. It costs more in total because the stake is multiplied across parlays. Neither removes the margin on every leg; straight bets avoid compounding it.
Major US sportsbooks, including FanDuel and DraftKings, offer round robin options on multi-selection slips in many markets. Availability and the sizes offered vary by state and sport, so confirm in your bet slip. This calculator works for any American odds you enter.
Yes. A leg can be a spread, a total or a moneyline. Enter the American price of each leg (−110 for a standard spread or total). Pushes reduce a parlay to the remaining legs, which this calculator does not model.
