Sportsbooks hand out profit boosts and odds boosts every day. Enter the regular price, the boost and your stake to see the boosted price, the fair price of the bet and what the promo is worth in dollars.
The boost
The fair price
A boost only changes the price. Whether it is worth taking depends on how likely the bet is to win, and the best estimate of that is the market itself with the book’s margin taken out. Put the other side’s odds in and the calculator removes the margin from the two prices to get a fair win probability; then it values the boosted price against that probability. Expected value is what the bet returns on average for each dollar you risk.
A profit boost multiplies the winnings: a 50% boost on +150 pays +225. An odds boost just gives you a better price, so enter the boosted odds directly.
Many boosts cap the extra winnings (for example “up to $25 in boosted winnings”). Above the cap, a bigger stake adds risk at the regular price, so the value per dollar falls. Enter the cap and your stake, and the calculator uses the price you would actually be paid.
Other side’s odds is the most reliable: both prices of the same market, with the margin removed. I know the fair odds lets you use your own number. Only this price assumes the market keeps a typical hold; it is a rough guide, and the page says so next to the result. None of this checks whether a book will take your bet or how much it allows.
