What are NHL line combinations?
Teams roll four forward lines and three defense pairs. The top line and top pair play the most and face the other team's best players, so who is on them, and who has moved off them, matters.
How to use them
- Check for injured or day-to-day players on the top two lines.
- A shuffled top six often means a team is chasing goals; a settled one means it is not.
- Open the Lines tab in the NHL Lab for each line's shot and chance numbers.
